This book is perfect for a romantasy fix. It's a love story filled with palpable yearning and longing. The prose is beautiful. While there are a couple intimate love scenes, I wouldn’t label it a “steamy” read overall. I enjoyed the world, especially how the gods are organized into clans and alliances. It’s the kind of story that leaves you wanting more.

When a god is born, a constellation appears in the sky, and the constellation’s number of stars signifies their power. One god can kill another to take their stars. That leaves them with the important question: “Who can I trust?” The story centers on a young goddess, Matilda. She was born into the Under Realm, where showing love is a weakness. The Goddess Alva captures and scribes the dreams of mortals. She secretly gives dream scrolls to Matilda, who can enter the dreams while reading. In one nightmare, Matilda meets Vincent, a mortal boy. When she slips into his dreams, a relationship begins to form. What happens when a god falls for a mortal? To avoid spoilers, you’ll need to read to find out!
